As you well know, we are a family run business. We’ve been a small family run business since 2003 selling homes and helping families to the best of our ability in Downey, CA and surrounding Southern California areas. We’ve been tremendously blessed throughout the years. We are ever so grateful to God for continually providing for our family. Chris and Amber have 2 children and Maria is extremely blessed with her 2 boys and 5 grandchildren.
Being in the real estate sales business for so long, we as real estate professionals have seen the ups and the downs of the business. We’ve seen the impact that a market crash can cause to a family and even to investors. Not only have we seen the impact on homeowners, but we’ve seen the impact on everyone involved in the real estate industry. We of course started selling homes when transactions we much easier to close. Lenders we throwing money at buyers, lending money with practically no verification of income and believe it or not, no down payment. Lender guidelines were nothing to be concerned about because there really weren’t any.
Of course that lead to many people jumping right into the real estate business, thinking that it was easy money selling homes, and at that time it was realistically much easier to get a transaction closed. Unfortunately because of the ease of loan regulations many that entered the business found ways to game the system, to commit wrongful acts against innocent people. Eventually as the market took a turn in 2008, being that it was much more difficult to close a transaction, if you wanted to make a career out of real estate, you actually needed to organize yourself and run your business with professional standards. It is those that realized that gone were the days of an easy transaction. There had to be systems and organization in your business if you wanted to last in the business. You had to figure out ways to be of service to your community, not just look for a sale to earn a commission. It’s those real estate professionals that truly cared for the people, and that had a passion to help people with their current and future living situations that stood the test of time.
Now, for us as a Mother & Son Real Estate family business, it’s been a challenge. We’ve had rough years and we’ve had amazing years. The one thing we’ve always kept at the forefront is the passion to serve our clients and friends. it truly is a passion of ours. Passion to serve is the only thing that has kept us in the business of real estate sales for the close to 17 years we’ve been in business. So with that being said, 2020 of course posed incredible challenges for our business, and it’s difficult predict what 2021 will bring to the real estate market but one thing is for sure. The Maria, Chris and Amber are not giving up on you! We will make it through whatever challenge is place in front of us. Rest assured of that…
